Welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Hooi Tin as Editor-in-Chief of POMR

We are pleased to announce that Associate Professor Dr. Ong Hooi Tin has joined Perspectives in Oncology Management and Research (POMR) as Editor-in-Chief.

Dr. Ong is affiliated with the Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences, M. Kandiah Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, where she also serves as Head of the Department. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Dr. Ong is the Chairperson of the Centre for Cancer Research (CCR) at UTAR. Her research focuses on cancer molecular biology, systems biology and network pharmacology, preventive medicine, and alternative medicine in cancer management. Her work has covered oncolytic virus therapy, cancer stem cells, and microRNA regulation, with publications in journals such as BMC Cancer and Molecular Therapy. She has led funded projects, including a UTARRF grant on attenuated oncolytic measles virus as a cancer therapeutic in chemo- and radio-resistant human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. In 2023, she served as Organising Chairperson of the International Conference on Cell Therapy. She has also contributed to institutional committees including the UTAR Strategy Monitoring and Risk Management Committee and the Annual Report Committee at FMHS.
